I read the two pages of the book called possum problem.
First I read page number 4 it was about the problem of the possums and it growing and growing through New zealand.
Next I answered the questions about the page with extended discussion.
Lastly I read the page 5 it was about the risk of using posion I also answered the questions.
I like this task beucase I got to learn about a animal and some backstory about New Zealand.
I completed a task called Commanding Conversation.
I made a conversation that might be happening in the picture.
I enjoyed this task because I like making imagination conversation.
I learnt 2 skillls of American football catching and throwing.
First I learnt how to throw while thorwing we need a grip by putting our ring finger on the third lase we also aim with our non- domiment arm also we face sidewards and have a L shape hand that has our football is our hand.
Next we learnt how to catch we need to do this while catching we need to make our hand in a triangle shape and when the ball comes near put your pinky finger and your ring finger around the ball and lean backwards to absorb the power.
I need to improve on catching I am good throwing and I like this task becuase I know the main two skills of both types of football.
I read a book called Tom gates brilliant world.
I read 32 pages of the book.
In this book Tom gates house is 4 minutes away from his school still he gets late it is mainly because of his friend derek and him talking.Today Tom wakes up rolls out of bed slowly get his socks plays the guitar goes to the toilet to read his comic his sister deila is waiting outside. He remembers he forgot to do his homework tries to make a excuse. Mom shouts TOM you are late.Tom runs down gets changed shouts BYE and leaves for school when he gets to school it is a disaster for him because he can’t doodle or read his comics because he is in the front of the class.
I like this book becuase I love reading book that talk about other people lives becuase I think I am in their world.
Knowing a lot of words helps people understand many different concepts.
Colony means an area where there is a group of people controlling their home.
Acclimatise means a new climate of something.
Spring up means to appear suddenly come out or growing up really fast.
A large vocabulary allows people to explain their ideas and thoughts to others easily.
I revised stepping and learned how to throwing,catching and passing.
First we revised stepping by playing a game of octopus. I was one of the top 3 becuase I was fast and steped people a lot.
Next we learned how to catch and pass we practiced by getting in a triange and we put to put our hands in a W shape and lean backwards and catch it after that we pass by leaning forward and point with our non-domimet leg of where we need to pass.
Lastly we got in a circle and one person was in the middle,The person in the middle throws it to each person and they throw it back.
I like this task becuase I was one of the top 3 in octopus.I need to improve on passing, I am good at catching
The structure of an explanations is TIES.
The purpose of an explantion is to tell how something works.
TIES represents T stands for Title I Stands for Information E stands for Explain and S stands for Summary.
Three main language features are third person, present simple tense, cause and effect words.
An explaintion is to tell how something works or why somethings happen.
I made a whale tail about what I want the future of whales to be.
First I realised not to make a litreal and made Figurative stuff in the whale tail.
Next came up with a design of making my whale tail about what I want the future whales to be.
Then I used circles to represent the whales I also used the background of the whale tail to represent the ocean and I used the background of the poster to represent the sky.
Lastly I came up with the explantion of colours the explantion was The dark blue dots represent that there are lots of whales in the ocean and they are not almost extinct.The colour of the whale tail represents that the ocean is clean and there is no more plastic in the ocean.The background is blue and cyan which represents the beautiful sky that has no pollution.
I like this task becuase whales are one of my favriote animals and I want their future to be bright.

I learnt what type of units we use while doing capacity and what capacity means.
First I learned the meaning of capacity.It means the amount of something.
Next I found some containers and guessed how much millilitres or litres it can hold.
Then we poured some water into a can because we know how much it holds.We poured the water into the other containers and saw if we were right.
Lastly we made a DLO about about the information that we know about capacity.
I like this task because it was fun to be guessing what amount of water it could hold up.It was like being in a game.I need to improve on knowing the difference millilitrs and litres.
I read an article about New Zealand at war in world war 1.
The first world war had a lot of impact on New Zealand.At the time New Zealand was a very small country and had only a small amount of population compared to other countries.
On 16 of September The New Zealand Goverment Announces that there will be Maori People will be going to war.
4 August Germany Invades Belgium so Britain declares war on Germany . This means New Zealand is part of the British Empire.
8 December The NZEF joins the with the Austrain Imprial Force and the word ANZAC was born.
I enjoyed this task becuase I always wanted to learn about the world war 1 and how it went and the story behind it.
